Insurances for Life

There are 3 main priorities when it comes to Personal Insurance:-

To provide money if you die
To provide money if you survive a serious illness
To provide money if you can’t work long term through injury or illness

So, what if you die? You need Life Assurance

Making sure your family would be financially secure if you were to die is first on the list, and cover can be relatively inexpensive. Whether you are looking to make sure that they would receive a cash lump sum, or perhaps a tax free income until the children grow up, there is a wide choice of straight-forward life assurance plans available.

What if you survive a serious illness? You need Critical Illness Cover

Financial pressures can cause tremendous stress, so if you were to suffer a serious illness, it is important to know that at least some of you money worries will be dealt with, and you will be able to take sufficient time to recover and get back to work when it suits your health.

The likelihood of suffering a serious illness before the age of 65, such as a heart attack, cancer or stroke, is much greater than of dying and advances in medical care have transformed survival rates, so this type of insurance is very important.

What if you can’t work because of illness or injury? You need Income Protection

This must be the most under-valued type of insurance there is. You don’t think twice about insuring your car (because you have to), or the contents of your home, but ALL your future financial plans depend on ONE thing, the ability to keep on earning. Take away the source of your income and how rosy does the future look? Could you live on State Benefits up to retirement age?

At Ashwood Law we know the importance of getting value for money so we can recommend the right sort of life insurance for your families needs. As we are independent we can also look at all the companies in the market place and make sure that you aren’t paying too much.
