Pensions Reform Presentations

Pensions Reform

Starting from 2012 compulsory pension provision will become a reality and contributions will be paid by employers for all eligible employees. Although there is a mechanism for employees to opt out to avoid contributions, the government is hoping that an overwhelming majority will stay in by default and by their inertia to take action to opt out.

For all employers there is a need to understand how the new system works and what implications this will have on the costs of running a business. Employees will also need to understand how this will affect their existing and new employment contracts.

Ashwood Law has carried out extensive research in this area and we can provide helpful insight which has been well received covering the following topics:

How the new rules work
• What the options are for employers
• How to be compliant and also cost effective
• What your peers do in addressing the problem - so that you stay competitive
