We have worked closely for many years with our key solicitor connections. In the light of this, three of our main solicitor connections, Bray & Bray, Fishers and Wilson Browne decided to enter into what is known as a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with us. A ‘joint venture’ is simply a company which is owned jointly. The formation of a JVC means a closer working relationship and that the partners receive a share of profits made which are distributed in the forms of dividends rather than commission.

The JVC is officially called Ashwood Law Professional Link (JVC1) Ltd but there are three trading styles or names that are used within the limited company:

• Ashby Wealth Management – this is our joint venture with Fishers Solicitors. The dedicated telephone number is 01530 267155 or 0845 073 0876

• East Midlands Wealth Management – this is our joint venture with Wilson Browne Solicitors. The dedicated telephone number is 01530 267157 or 0845 073 0878

• Welford Place Wealth Management – this is our joint venture with Bray & Bray Solicitors. The dedicated telephone number is 01530 267156 or 0845 073 0877

Ashwood Law Professional Link and therefore the trading names above, are separate Independent Financial Advisers from Ashwood Law. Technically Ashwood Law Professional Link is what is known as an ‘Appointed Representative’ of Ashwood Law. Ashwood Law itself is directly authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) . Therefore, Ashwood Law is responsible for the acts of the joint venture.
